When students are up to date with immunizations, the entire school community benefits. This Parent/Guardian Guide (PDF)​ explains the immunizations that are required for school entry, as well as the vaccines that are generally recommended to prevent many serious diseases and cancers. While Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are not required for school entry, they are recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older.​​

​Did you know the California Digital Vaccine Record portal can access children's immunization records? We encourage parents to request a digital copy of My Vaccine Record for their child’s records for child care or school.​​​​
