Epinephrine and Albuterol Standing Orders for 2026 are Now Available!
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Epinephrine Standing Order and Albuterol Standing Order authorize California school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools to obtain epinephrine auto-injectors and albuterol (and, if necessary, single-use disposable holding chambers) for elementary, junior high, middle, and high schools.
As we begin 2026, please review these important updates:
Standing Order Renewal:
- The previous Epinephrine and Albuterol Standing Orders generated in the 2025 calendar year expired on December 31, 2025.
- To obtain new devices in the 2026 calendar year, you will need to generate a new standing order.
- Renewal applications for 2026 are now available. Please visit the
application portal to complete your renewal.
Reporting Requirements:

Epinephrine Standing Order: Annual reporting of all instances where auto-injectors were administered in schools is required. Please submit your annual report when renewing your standing order.

Albuterol Standing Order: Incidents where albuterol was administered must be reported within
three business days. If you have outstanding reports, include them with your renewal application.
