Border Infectious Disease Surveillance ā€‹

ā€‹ā€‹The Border Infectious Disease Surveillance program (BIDS) was established in 1999 as a binational surveillance system for emerging infections and other communicable diseases of public health significance for the U.S.-Mexico border region. BIDS projects and activities encompass binational collaboration, enhanced surveillance, provider training, and reporting of urgent and routine infectious diseases in the border region.
