Community Advisory Board (CAB)

Per legislation, Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI) Local Health Jurisdictions (LHJs) are required to create and maintain a Community Advisory Board (CAB). CABs act as an extension of the Black Infant Health (BIH) program and PEI, assist with creation and implementation of a local public awareness campaign (PAC) around birth outcome inequities, and is also a voice of the community to ensure program interventions and activities are implemented in a culturally affirming manner.
