This is a best practice guide for developing and implementing a flavored tobacco policy campaign. It was created for local health departments and community-based organizations. This guide was designed to be useful to people with varying levels of experience that work in diverse communities, ranging from rural to urban settings.
The California Smokers' Helpline and its training and technical assistance arm, the Center for Tobacco Cessation, are pleased to provide this free Toolkit. The Toolkit focuses on the importance of helping pregnant women and parents of young children stop smoking. The Toolkit contains a webinar recording and slide deck, and two patient fact sheets.
This is a manual for the operation and functioning of local tobacco control programs, including Local Lead Agencies and competitive grantees. In addition to programmatic and administrative requirements, it includes background information on California's tobacco education campaign, the mission and philosophy statements of CDPH/CTCP, and principles of planning.
