The Research and Analytics Branch (RAB) provides access to essential health data and statistical resources that support public health research, policy development, community health assessments, and public inquiries. Our work serves government agencies, academic institutions, private researchers, and the general public.

Provides access to vital statistics datasets and reports

Coordinates the Vital Statistics Advisory Committee (VSAC)

End of Life Option Act (EOLA)

Enables terminally ill adults to make informed end-of-life decisions. The CDPH collects and publishes an annual report in accordance with the Act, ensuring transparency and compliance with privacy requirements.
