Partner and Community Engagement

ā€‹Behavioral Health Transformation

Behavioral Health Services Act (Senate Bill (SB) 326 (Eggman, Chapter 790, Statutes of 2023) requires CDPH to participate in engagement and consultation activities with interested parties to support the planning, development, and implementation of Behavioral Health Transformation related policy.  

CDPH will publish updates on engagement opportunities related to behavioral health transformation planning on this webpage.ā€‹

Upcoming Engagement Opportunities

CDPH will conduct partner and community sessions to gather feedback from a range of partners and the public. The meeting topics and duration will vary.

Behavioral Health Task Force

CDPH will present to the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS)-convened Behavioral Health Task Force (BHTF) on two occasions in 2024

CDPH will provide updates on planning for BHSA population prevention planning activities and obtain input.

Expert Advisory Panel

CDPH will convene a group of equity-focused subject matter experts to refine and help prioritize policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies that support behavioral health and upstream prevention.

This input will inform development of an overarching framework for broader collective action on behavioral health prevention, with roles across multiple sectors, initiatives, and funding streams. 

These meetings are open to the public and will have dedicated time for public comment.
