OFFICE OF AIDS

HIV Care Branch

The goals of the HIV Care Branch are to (1) reduce the number of new HIV infections, (2) increase access to quality of care, and (3) reduce HIV/AIDS related health disparities. The HIV Care Branch works toward these goals by administering the following care and housing programs:

Services for these programs are provided by local health departments, community-based organizations, and housing authorities throughout California. Collectively, these programs served almost 16,700 Californians living with HIV.

HIV Care Connect (HCC)

HIV Care Connect (HCC) is a data system that provides a more efficient and user-friendly interface for data collection for both RWHAP Part B and HOPWA providers funded by the California Department of Public Health, Office of AIDS (OA).

HCC provides a better user experience through more intuitive screens, easier navigation, and has the ability for users to access technical support within the system. HCC efficiently collects data through the access of selected ADAP and lab data, thereby reducing duplicate entry. It also provides the user with the ability to design their own reports and generate the RSR, CAPER, and other federal reports. In addition, the user can submit budgets and invoices to OA via the system.

For more information on HCC, please visit our OA HIV Data Systems webpage.
