Language Access Services Program​

The Language Access Services Program is administered by the Office of Professional Development & Engagement (OPDE), Language Access Program Unit (LAPU). The LAPU is responsible for Language Access policy oversight and coordination of language services including written translations, oral interpretation, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services.

Members of the public or recipients of services may direct complaints regarding language access to:

All public offices should post notices in conspicuous locations that advise Limited English Persons (LEP) of their right to access services in their native language at no cost. The notice should explain the complaint process and list the phone number and address of the Office of Professional Development & Engagement (OPDE), Language Access Program Unit (LAPU).​​
