False Claims Act

These policies were developed by the Genetic Disease Screening Program (GDSP) administered by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). They were written in response to a requirement in the federal Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (DRA), as amended in 2007 by Ā§ 6032. This law requires certain Medi-Cal providers and their contractors to inform their employees of Federal and State False Claims Act (FCA) laws and to establish procedures for detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse in payment claims.
