In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the California Departments of Health Care Services, Public Health and Social Services, and our community partners are proud to welcome Dr. Kenneth Epstein for a special presentation. Dr. Epstein will speak about the San Francisco Department of Public Health's Trauma-Informed Systems Initiative which is providing trauma-informed training for more than 9,000 employees working in public health, hospitals and ambulatory care services.

Dr. Ken Epstein is the Children's System of Care Director for San Francisco County Community Behavioral Health Services, and leads the vision and implementation of the Trauma Informed Systems Initiative. He has convened numerous groups of trauma experts and interagency collaborations within the Bay Area, including the Bay Area Trauma Informed System of Care (Trauma Transformed) Initiative.
Dr. Epstein has also served as a line worker, clinician, program director, professor and chief executive officer. Dr. Epstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Ph.D. in clinical social work.
