Funding Opportunity | Initiative to Reduce Tobacco-Related Disparities at Residential Behavioral Health Facilities
The California Tobacco Control Program, has released a funding opportunity (Request for Application) to fund up to 15 Wellness Quality Improvement Projects (QIP) to reduce tobacco use and promote wellness among people with substance use disorders and mental illness in community residential behavioral health facilities.

Funding  includes $36,000 per facility for 18 months, with specialized training and technical assistance to adapt tobacco policy and paired with the promotion of other wellness approaches such as addressing  nutritional health an addressing  problem gambling.

Providers who meet the criteria to become an authorized CalGETS provider will be eligible to receive fee-for-service reimbursement from the state.
