Pharmacy Benefits Manager Name Change



ā€‹The purpose of this memo is to inform AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Assistance Program (PrEP-AP) enrollment workers (EWs) about updates regarding ADAP/PrEP-AP's pharmacy benefit manager, Magellan Rx Management.

Background

On December 5, 2022, Prime Therapeutics finalized the acquisition of Magellan Rx Management. Both companies continued to operate independently under their designated legal entity names while working on integration.

 Program Update

Effective October 1, 2024, Magellan Rx Management will be known as Prime Therapeutics Management. All ADAP/PrEP-AP pharmacy benefits will remain the same. There is no change to the pharmacy network or access to medication. Clients can continue to use their current prescription benefit card or request a new card at their next re-enrollment.

 ā€‹Also effective October 1, 2024, the pharmacy locator tool will be as follows:

Be sure to bookmark the new sites for future use.

 Clients should experience a seamless transition; however clients can continue to contact the Magellan Rx/Prime call center 24/7 at (800) 424-5906.
