Background
HSAG serves as the West CMS QIN-QIO Region 7 in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and the Pacific Territories. In California, HSAG will provide healthcare quality improvement services to more than 200 hospitals and 680 nursing facilities. CMS selected these facilities to receive no-cost, enhanced support based on quality metrics, enforcement and survey data, gaps in quality reporting, and/or location in underserved areas.
What to Expect
CMS-selected providers partnering with HSAG can expect no-cost, enhanced support to advance quality improvement for their selected measures including, but not limited to the following:
- Assistance in conducting assessments and root cause analysis
- Support in co-designing action plans that drive improvement
- Access to on-demand resources, best practices, and guidance to improve quality
- Data-driven insights to improve high-impact CMS metrics
- Opportunities to collaborate with top-performing peers in a robust learning community
- Real-time National Healthcare Safety Network support to meet infection reporting requirements
Next Steps
HSAG is contacting CMS-selected hospitals and nursing facilities to seek participation in quality improvement efforts. There is no cost to participate. CMS has directed HSAG to obtain a signed participation agreement from each selected provider to confirm commitment.
