FAQs

Question

Answer

Can I receive both the ACP and Lifeline benefits at the same time?

Yes. You can also combine these benefits with other state and local benefits where available. They can be applied to the same qualifying service or separately to a Lifeline service and an ACP service with the same or different providers.

If I already received Lifeline benefits, will I automatically receive the ACP benefit too?

No. You must opt-in with your existing provider or request enrollment in ACP with a participating internet provider. You may choose to receive the benefit from your current Lifeline provider or another provider.

Is there a list of participating providers?

Yes. You can find participating ACP and Lifeline providers on this webpage.

How do I apply to ACP and/or Lifeline?

Eligible households can enroll through an approved provider or by visiting the Federal communications commission webpage.

Does Lifeline or ACP offer high-speed internet?

The Biden-Harris administration recently secured partnerships with 20 internet service providers to bring high-speed internet to households with ACP. Eligible families who combine their ACP benefit with one of the providers can receive high-speed internet at no additional cost. You can find the participating high-speed internet providers on this webpage.
