​The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division (MCAH) is pleased to announce its intent to award the following applicants at the corresponding Federal (CA PREP) and State (I&E) levels for ASH Ed for the contract period of July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028. 

CDPH/MCAH received 24 applications of which the 20 highest scoring applicants have been selected for funding. As outlined in the RFA, all CA PREP applications were scored first. Once CA PREP awardees were determined, I&E applications corresponding to awarded CA PREP agencies were reviewed and scored as described in the RFA.   

The RFA process was highly competitive and CDPH/MCAH wishes to thank all applicants for their thoughtful proposals and commitment to promoting adolescent sexual health education efforts in California. 

Awards are tentative until completion of the RFA process and the Final Notice of Awards, which CDPH/MCAH anticipates posting on June 4, 2025. All awards are contingent upon federal PREP funding levels, I&E state general funds, contract negotiations, and state spending authority. Prior to and during contract negotiations, applicants will be required to submit additional budget and contract information to meet the RFA and contract requirements.
