The Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP) addresses the social, health, educational and economic challenges of adolescent pregnancy by providing comprehensive case management services to expectant and parenting teens and their children. The program follows an affirming and prevention-based approach called Positive Youth Development (PYD), which fosters resilience and empowers young people to pursue their life goals. AFLP's goals include reducing repeat adolescent births, increasing educational or vocational advancement, improving parent and child health, and creating networks of support for expectant and parenting youth.
