Important Update

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) no longer conducts Public Health Assessments (PHAs) or Health Consultations (HCs) of exposure and health risks associated with hazardous waste sites in California.

As of April 2023, the Agency for Toxic Disease and Substance Control (ATSDR) is responsible for conducting PHAs and HCs of hazardous waste sites in California. If you have questions or concerns about a hazardous waste site, please contact the staff at ATSDR Region 9, which is based in California.
