About Us

Our CalFresh Healthy Living Public Relations team provides technical assistance and resources such as press releases, media advisory templates, social media posts, online materials, and training webinars to support our local partners and their Champions.

We want to thank our many partners, including Local Health Departments, community-based organizations, and schools, for their tireless efforts to inspire Californians to consume more water, fewer sugary drinks, and healthier foods to improve health!

Make Every Day Rethink Your Drink Day!

Rethink Your Drink raises awareness about the health effects of sugary drinks and promotes the benefits of drinking water. For resources and updates, visit our Rethink Your Drink Day website.

Make Every Day Healthy Snack Day!

To encourage healthy snacking, which can be easy and affordable, check out our resources and updates at our Healthy Snack Day website.

*New* Champions Resource Guide

This Resource Guide was developed to provide local partners with information that supports local Champions, who are making a difference in their communities by promoting healthy eating and physical activity behaviors and policies. Champions, as well as local partners, can access these resources in both English and Spanish. Visit our Supplementary Resources library at our Healthy Snack Day or  Rethink Your Drink Day websites to check out this resource.

CalFresh Healthy Living Program

The California Department of Public Health's (CDPHs) CalFresh Healthy Living program is part of an ongoing effort to improve the health of families and communities in California, especially those that are at greater risk of obesity, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. Our current Healthy Victories campaign celebrates small changes that lead to big victories in overall health. Visit our CalFresh Healthy Living website to learn more.
