California Tobacco 21 Law

Resources to help retailers comply with the California and Federal Tobacco 21 law; including the required age-of-sale warning sign, a retail tobacco laws summary fact sheet, a Frequently Asked Questions document, and ID verification and tobacco product tip sheets. Selected resources are also available in Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, Spanish, and Vietnamese.


STAKE Act Retailer Education

The STAKE (Stop Tobacco Access to Kids Enforcement) Act is an important piece of legislation that specifies who retailers can sell tobacco to. In the state of California, it is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21 years. Please watch these training videos for a better understanding of the Act, and how to implement and adhere to the rules in your retail environment.
