The regulations require each forensic alcohol laboratory to annually complete proficiency test (PT) in alcohol analysis obtained from an approved test provider [17 CCR §1216.1 (a)(2)]. The currently approved providers are the College of American Pathologists and Collaborative Testing Services, Inc. Each year, FALP receives results directly from commercial PT providers and issues Statistical Summary Report.
