Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Information Survey

If you are a California Prenatal Screening Program participant, please take our Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) information survey using the button below.

As a state program, the California Prenatal Screening Program must comply with Assembly Bill  959, effective July 1, 2018. AB 959 says that all state programs offering services to residents within California must collect data on sexual orientation and gender identity as part of standard demographic data collection. The Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) information survey included in the Prenatal Screening Patient Booklet collects information from patients using program services.

The information collected in the SOGI survey is not identifiable and will not be associated with prenatal screening dates. Prenatal care providers must tell their patients about the survey link when sharing the Prenatal Screening Patient Booklet (see page 9). Participation by patients is voluntary and does not affect the prenatal screening service.ā€‹
