​The theme for 2026, set by the National Association of Healthcare Assistants (NAHCA) is: ​We’re Unbelievable! 
​We invite leaders and colleagues to help celebrate our CNA staff for their hard work and compassion that they bring to resident care! Here are a few resources and suggestions to get started. ​​

• Host an appreciation breakfast or luncheon 
• Write a thank you note to CNAs at your facility
  
• Decorate workspaces with CNA appreciation flyers
• Engage staff in fun team-building activities 
• Create a message board where staff and colleagues can share photos or their favorite memories and stories of being a CNA.
  
• Coordinate a recognition or awards ceremony to present CNA with certificates for their professionalism, commitment to resident care, excellence in infection prevention and control, etc. 
  
• Highlight staff on your website or social media or share information on Certified Nursing Assistant week from @capublichealth​
