"Preventing HAI: Do you know if your hospital is doing the most important things consistently?"

Course Description:

The HAI Program presented a three hour class to review evidence based care practices known to prevent HAI, share results of adherence to some of those practices from our assessment observations, and discuss how hospitals can monitor adherence to these best practices.

The series of educational courses was held in 22 locations in April-May 2018.

Intended Audience:

Hospital leaders overseeing infection prevention programs, infection preventionists (IPs), quality improvement directors and staff, and others focused on preventing hospital associated infections. Hospital IPs are encouraged to bring other clinicians or administrators with them to the course.

Objectives:
1.Review evidence based practices known to prevent HAI
2.Discuss results of adherence to care practices
3.Discuss how to monitor adherence to care practices
