Project Firstline is a CDC-funded initiative that is run at the state and regional level. California's Project Firstline focuses on supporting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) at skilled nursing facilities (SNF), while other sites may focus on different audiences. CDC's Project Firstline also partners a coalition of local, academic, public health and healthcare partners whose mission is the same:

"Project Firstline provides innovative and accessible infection control education for all frontline healthcare workersā€“ so they can protect their patients, their coworkers and themselves from infectious disease threats in health care."
