Worker training

Employer training workers Employers are required to implement​ a worker-safety training program that includes:
  • Policies and procedures concerning exposure to lead, worker medical surveillance, medical removal protection, and other worker protections.
  • Tasks that expose workers to lead and how lead enters the body.
  • Controls established to eliminate or reduce exposure to lead.
  • Proper use and limitations of respirators.
  • Health damage to workers resulting from exposure to lead, even at chronic low levels.
  • Dangers to household members, especially young children, when workers take home lead on their bodies, clothes and shoes.
  • Worker rights to medical examinations and access to exposure and medical records.
