Vaccinations help prevent infection and serious illness.

One important prevention tool against seā€‹ā€‹xually transmitted infections (STIs) is vaccination. Currently, vaccines are available to protect against infection and/or serious illnesses from HPV, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and mpox. Other vaccines are under development, including those for HIV and herpes simplex virus (HSV). Vaccines are the most effective way to prevent serious illness, and most are available at little or no cost. You can find information on each sexual health vaccine below to educate yourself before talking to your health care provider about the vaccinations that are right for you.ā€‹
