Bird Flu Testing and Seasonal Flu Vaccine Clinics
You can get free flu, bird flu and COVID-19 testing. You may also be able to get seasonal flu vaccines and treatment.
Seasonal Flu Vaccine Clinics
Flu vaccines are available to anyone 6 months and older who have not received the 2025/2026 vaccine. Vaccines are highly recommended for those at higher risk of exposure to bird flu. This includes people who:
- Work with infected animals such as cows or poultry
- Handle or drink raw milk
- Have backyard chickens
Testing
Testing is for people with flu-like symptoms or eye redness. When testing, you may get a few swabs taken. If you have an eye infection, an eye swab may be taken. In exposed persons with eye infections, eye swabs are most likely to detect bird flu.
Getting tested is important to identify what illness you have. It helps you get access to quick treatment. It can also stop the spread of disease in your community. You will need to provide your name and contact information. You do not need to provide your identification card, social security card, or immigration status.
You can get tested if you work with animals and have symptoms like:
- Swollen or red eyes
- Cough

- Fever
- Body aches
Other symptoms include:
- Eye discharge
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuff nose
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Muscle or body aches
- Headaches
- Fatigue
Within 15 minutes, you will get your results for flu and COVID-19. If the bird flu test is positive, you will be contacted by your local health department. To schedule an appointment visit MyTurn.
