Enclosed is the annual Vital Records Fee Schedule for 2026. Please note, pursuant to AB 64 there is a $2 fee increase to HSC103625(f) beginning January 1, 2026. The fee increase is applicable to the cost of certified copies of a birth, marriage, death, fetal death, and dissolution of marriage certificate.
Attached is an updated Monthly Transmittal of Fees to State – Certified Copies (VS-5). Please use the updated VS-5 (Rev. 10/2025) for all 2026 remittances. For remittances in 2025 or prior, please use VS-5 (Rev. 5/2/2023).
In 2027, the fee for birth certificates will decrease by $2 due to discontinuation of the Umbilical Cord Blood Collection Program fee. Please note that VS-5 (Rev. 10/2025) will only be applicable to 2026. An updated VS-5 and fee schedule for 2027 will be provided in the 2027 Vital Records Fees All-County Letter, to be distributed in Fall of 2026.
There are no changes to the Transmittal of Fees to State – Permit for Disposition of Human Remains (VS-8), Monthly Transmittal of Fees to State – Marriage Licenses (VS-119), Monthly Report of Filings of Petitions for Adoption (VS-45), Monthly Report of Filings of Petitions for Dissolution of Marriage (VS-246).
