The purpose of this All-County Letter is to notify jurisdictions that effective Monday, January 13, 2025, the State Registrar will transition from Tomas J. Aragon to Romeo Amian. The new signature block for certified copies of birth, death, fetal death, and marriage certificates issued by the California Department of Public Health ā Vital Records (CDPH-VR) will be as follows:

The signature block of the formerly appointed State Registrar, Dana E. Moore, will remain on the banknote security paper for CDPH for birth, death, fetal death, and marriage certificates until supplies run out. Romeo Amianās signature will appear on the right side.
