The participation of local health departments is essential to identify and report cases of silicosis. Weā€‹ recommend sharing information about silicosis among countertop workers with health care providers in your community. Local health departments may also consider conducting outreach to workers and employers in your community about silicosis and the dangers of silica dust exposure.

Reporting Silicosis Casesā€‹
