Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2023

​Lead Week is a national annual campaign during the last full week of October to bring awareness to and prevent childhood lead exposure. This year, Lead Week takes place October 22–28 and California’s theme i​s, “Protect your family from all sources of lead air pollution, including aircraft and shooting ranges.” Everyone is encouraged to get involved with Lead Week by participating in events and sharing these resources about preventing childhood lead poisoning. Webinar Series 

During Lead Week, CLPPB will host guest speakers to present about lead air pollution. Please join the California Department of Public Health for ​free webinars open to the public.

Social Media

Lead poisoning prevention messages will be posted on CDPH and local health jurisdictions’ social media platforms during Lead Week. Check CDPH’s Facebook and Instagram​ accounts throughout the week for information, tips, and resources for keeping your family lead-safe.
