EVAL 24-10147 California Tobacco Prevention Program California Youth Tobacco Surveyā€‹

The purpose of this Solicitation is to request competitive proposals from eligible experienced agencies to conduct a biennial, school-based, probability survey of California youth on tobacco use behaviors and attitudes. Tobacco use behaviors may include, but are not limited to, product use, dependence, susceptibility, access, and secondhand exposure. Surveillance will also include limited attitude, opinion, and co morbid substance use questions, primarily as they relate to patterns and predictors of tobacco use (e.g., flavor perceptions, social norms). Services include: recruiting schools to participate; developing a sampling framework; developing data collection instruments; programming, cognitive testing, pilot testing and administering surveys; data management; data cleaning and weighting; data analysis; creation of the California Youth Tobacco Survey statewide report and county profiles; and disseminating major findings.ā€‹

CG 24-10125 Empowering Commercial Tobacco Prevention Efforts in Tribal Communitiesā€‹

This Request for Application (RFA) seeks to fund up to ten (10) Federally Recognized California Tribal Governments to address commercial tobacco-related disparities affecting the American Indian population. For this RFA, Applicants are required to: 1) Build capacity and skills among tribal members and staff employed by tribal governmental organizations to implement commercial tobacco use prevention and reduction interventions and provide health education services; 2) Mobilize and engage community residents and tribal governmental organizations to engage in commercial tobacco use prevention and cessation and support policy and system changes; and 3) Design, support, adopt, implement, and evaluate tribal policy and system change campaigns that seek to prevent and reduce commercial tobacco use.ā€‹


EVAL 24-10067 California Tobacco Prevention Program Policy Evaluation Tracking Systemā€‹

The purpose of this Solicitation is to request competitive proposals from eligible experienced agencies to identify, track, collect, and rate the quality of codified city and county tobacco prevention policies, and to maintain the Policy Evaluation Tracking System (PETS) database by hosting a website with search functionality, such as to search policy provisions, jurisdictions, dates of passage, and policy ratings. The selected Contractor will track and collect policies from all jurisdictions (county and city) in the state of California on an ongoing basis.
