They serve around 4.6 million people which is 12% of the state. Public health priorities include improving upstream prevention, workforce development, mental health and substance use and access to care.
How Future of Public Health Is Making an Impact
- The region expanded its public health workforce with over 190 positions.
- Funds updated technology and data programs and supported laboratory services.
- Local partners developed mobile health programs and worked together to reduce the spread of H5N1(bird flu).
