Climate Change and Health Hub
Climate change is making California hotter, with more days of extreme heat. It also brings cycles of intense rain or snow and drought. These conditions cause more flooding, wildfires, and smoke from fires, among other problems. Sometimes these challenges happen at the same time or one after another.
These changes can harm our health. They can lead to more heat-related illnesses, breathing problems from poor air quality, and stress or trauma from disasters. Together, we can take steps to reduce these problems and protect our health.
