Heat Ready CA is coming to CDPH later this year. Thanks for your patience as we work on this transition with the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications.

California is hotter than it used to be, and temperatures are expected to keep rising. An extreme heat event is when an area has two or more days and nights of unusually high temperatures. These hot periods are becoming more common and increase the risk of heat related illness for all Californians, especially those with greater heat exposure and heat sensitivity. Heat Ready CA will offer outreach materials and practical resources to help communities:
- Understand the dangers and inequities of unhealthy heat
- Better spot heat risks and take protective actions
- Support local heat resilience efforts
