āThe purpose of this memo is to inform enrollment workers that OA has updated the ADAP data and information sharing guidelines consistent with the most recent applicable state and federal laws to provide for timely sharing of client data, assessment, and treatment information.
The information sharing guidelines and associated flowcharts should be used by the enrollment worker to determine how and under what circumstances they may disclose information to the various entities in a clientās care continuum. There are four different sets of guidance principals, one for each type of enrollment site:
1) Non-Medical Provider Community Based Organization
2) Health Care Provider
3) Local Public Health Agency/Department
4) Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Assistance Program (PrEP-AP) PrEP-Only Enrollment Site
Each of the guidance principles contains a table and a diagram. The rows in each table correspond with the flows indicated in its diagram, i.e., table row 1 is the same as diagram flow 1. Further, the tables have footnotes detailing the relevant laws and regulations governing each exchange, which are indicated in both the tables and diagrams.
The revised information sharing guidelines are now available in the ADAP and PrEP-AP enrollment worker SharePoint site at: https://partners.cdph.ca.gov/sites/ADAPEnrollmentWorkers/_layouts/15/start.aspx (please note the link provided is only accessible by certified enrollment workers with access to the EW SharePoint site).
Please contact your ADAP or PrEP-AP Advisor if you have any questions regarding the information provided in this memo.
