The purpose of this letter is to instruct sites to: 1) Delay any Data Collection System (DCS) transition to October 1, 2018; and 2) Clarify NFP form update procedures on July 1, 2018.
On the May 24, 2018 Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) National Service Office (NSO) call with implementing agencies and state partners, NFP NSO announced they were delaying their timeline for the transition to the new DCS, also known as Flo.’ All sites should have received an electronic communication from NFP NSO asking whether they want to be part of Group 1 or Group 2 (see image below). Agencies are to respond to NFP by the end of June.
Further, updated data collection forms will be launched on July 1, 2018 for all NFP sites. The current vendor, Social Solutions, will be making changes to Efforts-to-Outcomes (ETO) that accommodate updated forms in advance of the DCS transition. CHVP will be working with Social Solutions to update ETO Connect and the ETO “mock” sites. Similarly, Persimmony software will be implementing the form changes in their system.
The following required actions will allow CHVP to utilize existing data reporting methods for this Federal Fiscal Year in ETO, ensuring we meet all federal deadlines in a timely manner:
- Respond to the electronic communication from NFP NSO with “Group 2 – October 1, 2018” as your choice by June 30, 2018. This applies to all sites transitioning to a new DCS, whether Flo’ or Persimmony is the chosen software. CHVP will coordinate with NFP NSO to ensure agencies have chosen Group 2 as their selection.
- For those sites who currently use Persimmony as their data vendor and enter their data into a CHVP ETO mock site, please continue to do so through September 30, 2018. Starting on October 1, 2018, CDPH will receive all data from the NFP data warehouse as a comprehensive data extract, eliminating the need for double data entry into a mock site.
- Start data collection of the updated NFP NSO forms on July 1, 2018. The ETO and Persimmony data vendors will implement the updates in their systems.
