Reciprocal Recognition of Persons Specifically or Generally Licensed by other Agencies for use of Radioactive Materials.

Any person who holds a specific license issued by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), by any other Agreement State, or by any state that has been either provisionally or finally designated as a Licensing State by the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. (CRCPD), other than this State:

​(1) May conduct activities authorized within this State for a limited time period without obtaining a specific license from the Department, or 

(2) Is not subject to the registration requirement for certain types of generally licensed devices​. 
 

Applicants for reciprocal licensing, who wish to perform activities in California requiring the use of radioactive materials must comply with, and pay an application fee pursuant to,​​ the following requirements in Title 17, California Code of Regulations:
