Reciprocal Recognition of Persons Specifically or Generally Licensed by other Agencies for use of Radioactive Materials.
Any person who holds a specific license issued by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), by any other Agreement State, or by any state that has been either provisionally or finally designated as a Licensing State by the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc. (CRCPD), other than this State:
(1) May conduct activities authorized within this State for a limited time period without obtaining a specific license from the Department, or
(2) Is not subject to the registration requirement for certain types of generally licensed devices.
Applicants for reciprocal licensing, who wish to perform activities in California requiring the use of radioactive materials must comply with, and pay an application fee pursuant to, the following requirements in Title 17, California Code of Regulations:
