Manufactures must develop and use detailed procedures throughout their operations to ensure quality and consistency is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.  These procedures include inventory control §40282 (PDF), quality control §40235-40258 (PDF), transportation §40131 (PDF), security §40200 (PDF) and cannabis waste disposal §40290 (PDF). Descriptions of these procedures, called Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), must be submitted with the license application.

Additionally, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) must be followed to ensure production occurs in
a sanity and hazard-free environment, cannabis products are contaminant free and THC levels are
consistent and within required limits.
