EL PROGRAMA DE PREVENCIÓN DEL ENVENENAMIENTO CON PLOMO EN EL TRABAJO (OLPPP)

Mantenga áreas de trabajo sin plomo
Limpie su área de trabajo durante todo el día.
Use métodos de limpieza húmedas o una aspiradora con filtro de alta eficiencia (HEPA). Nunca use aire comprimido, ni barra en seco. Este tipo de limpieza genera polvo de plomo en el aire.
Trabaje en zonas bien ventiladas
Use un equipo especial (un sistema de ventilación) instalado por su empleador para llevar aire fresco a su área de trabajo.
Abra las ventanas o trabaje afuera, si es posible, para mejorar el flujo de aire.
Use equipo de protección personal (EPP)
Sus empleadores deben proporcionar EPP, como un respirador, gafas, guantes, ropa (por ejemplo,
trajes Tyvek), o botas o cubiertas de zapatos para proteger a las personas que
trabajan con plomo.
Si necesita usar un respirador, su empleador debe asegurarse de que un médico le diga que puede usar uno de forma segura.
