Higher Education Mental Health Alliance – Postvention: A Guide for Response to Suicide on College Campuses | Offers colleges and universities guidance for responding to a campus suicide, including managing communication, clinical response, coordination among stakeholders, and returning the campus to normal functioning.
National Alliance for Suicide Prevention – A Manager’s Guide to Suicide Postvention in the Workplace | Provides workplace leaders with clear action steps for immediate, short-term, and long-term postvention responses to help employees cope after a suicide.
New York State Office of Mental Health – The Impact of Suicide on Professional Caregivers: A Guide for Managers and Supervisors | Provides guidance for behavioral health leaders on supporting staff, clients, and organizations after a client suicide, including immediate response steps, staff debriefing, clinician support, communication with clients and families, and ethical, legal, and organizational considerations to strengthen recovery and resilience.

Youth Suicide Prevention & Response Network (YSPRN) | Part of California’s Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (2022–2025), YSPRN helped counties enhance crisis response services and supports in schools and communities after a youth suicide or attempt. The website offers resources including crisis care guidelines, messaging frameworks, postvention strategies, and tools tailored for schools, LGBTQ+ communities, and means safety.
