Comprehensive Cancer Plan
California’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan is a five-year plan (2021–2025) to help lower the number of cancer cases and deaths in our state. It gives helpful guidance to people and organizations from many fields—like health care, education and community services—who can help fight cancer.
The plan covers all parts of the cancer journey, from prevention to treatment and life after cancer. It includes:
- Goals and strategies to guide cancer prevention and control
- A summary of progress from the 2016–2020 plan
- Updates from the California Dialogue on Cancer (CDOC)
- New cancer trends
- Stories from cancer survivors
The plan’s strategies focus on clear, measurable goals. These efforts will not only help reduce cancer but also improve health in other areas like heart disease and diabetes.
