California Dementia Caregiving Initiative
Overview
With funding provided by the 2021 California Budget Act, the California Department of Public Health, Alzheimer's Disease Program (ADP) led the California Dementia Caregiving Initiative to strengthen education, training, and support for caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). This initiative was guided by the “Ten Recommendations for Alzheimer's Prevention, Preparedness, and the Path Forward," which outlines California's strategic direction for improving dementia care systems and support.
