Public Health for All brings together the public health and medical community to share trusted health information. CDPH will continue to:

- Ensure vaccines and preventive health services are accessible
- Modernize public health through innovation, collaboration, and communication
Building a Healthy California for All
In 2025,
California
passed a
law to ensured continued access to life-saving vaccines and screenings for all Californians. CDPH bases
recommendations for vaccines on guidelines from trusted medical professional organizations.
CDPH endorsed the recommendations of the
United States Preventive Services Taskforce (USPSTF) as they stood on January 1, 2025, ensuring access to evidence-based recommendations for preventive services and medications.
CDPH is committed to building a stronger and more resilient public health system. As part of Public Health for All, California launched the Public Health Network Information Exchange (PHNIX) to accelerate technology research and development while ensuring that public health strategies are based on the best available science and tools.
Key Public Health for All Milestones
September 2025

California updated state law and enacted AB 144 to ensure Californians have access to life-saving vaccines and other preventive health services based on credible medical evidence.
- California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington established the
West Coast Health Alliance (WCHA), to align health guidelines, strengthen preparedness, and provide residents with consistent, science‑based recommendations.
- California launched the
Public Health for All Californians Together (PHACT) Coalition bringing together health insurers, medical organizations, Tribal health programs, community organizations, and health experts to protect and improve the health of Californians.
- California became the first U.S. state or local health department to join the World Health Organization's
Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN), supporting global infectious disease surveillance and response.
October 2025
- California Governor Gavin Newsom joined 14 other governors to create the
Governors Public Health Alliance, a nonpartisan alliance to strengthen public health policy, healthcare access, and health communications efforts.

- California invited nonprofit organizations with expertise in public health innovation and data modernization to apply to partner with CDPH in establishing the
PHNIX Innovation Institute.
