Lyme Disease Advisory Committee (LDAC)
The mission of the Lyme Disease Advisory Committee (LDAC) is to make recommendations to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) on strategies to enhance the awareness of the public and the medical community about Lyme disease in California, and thereby reduce exposure to, and suffering from, this and other tick-borne diseases.
The Committee is made up of members representing the California Lyme Disease Association, Lyme disease support network, university researchers, the Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California, the California Medical Association, California Conference of Local Health Officers, and CDPH. A broad range of views is represented on this Committee, allowing for important exchanges of ideas on Lyme disease education.
The next LDAC teleconference will be held January 24, 2012, with the single agenda item to approve the minutes from the November 16, 2011 meeting. Call in information and agenda will be posted here by 10 days before the teleconference date. Contact Denise Bonilla at denise.bonilla@cdph.ca.gov if you have questions.
