Medi-Cal Language Access Services Taskforce

The Department of Health Care Services convened a taskforce on language access services.  The Office of Multicultural Health (OMH) and the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California (LCHC) will co-chair and preside over the Taskforce.  The Medi-Cal Language Access Taskforce is charged with forming recommendations to the administration of the Department of Health Care Services on a model for the economical and effective delivery and reimbursement of language services in Medi-Cal.  For additional background information see linked PDF document.

The Director of DHCS will appoint members to the Taskforce from the Council on Multicultural Health and external stakeholders representing Medi-Cal limited English proficient consumers, Medi-Cal providers and the government.  The 22 members include representation from the following categories: Council on Multicultural Health, government agencies, providers, practitioners, consumers and advocates.
