California WIC is currently in the process of collecting Regional manufacturer information on the new foods authorized in new Federal Regulations. To view the Interim Final Rule see the link on the front page of our website.
Information Needed for Determining WIC-Eligible Foods
Manufacturers interested in submitting product information for consideration should do so by completing the Product Information Chart, linked below, by August 15, 2008. The first page of the document includes instructions for completing the charts. After completing the “identification” tab, please select the tab(s) specific to each food category you offer and complete the information about Brand Name, container size, container type, nutrition content, product time on the market, geographic availability, and suggested retail price.

All product information should be sent electronically to wicfoods@cdph.ca.gov . Please make sure to change the title of your attached product information charts to reflect you company name. Any questions, concerns, and suggestions regarding the new foods may also be sent to this e-mail address.
