The Mission of the California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) is to improve the health of all Californians by reducing illness and premature death attributable to the use of tobacco products. Through leadership, experience and research, CTCP empowers statewide and local health agencies to promote health and quality of life by advocating social norms that create a tobacco-free environment.

The California Department of Public Health, California Tobacco Control Program (CDPH/CTCP) Request for Proposal (RFP), 14-10406 Local Lead Agency Comprehensive Tobacco Control Plan for San Bernardino County, is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of funding one governmental or private nonprofit agency to function as the Local Lead Agency (LLA) for San Bernardino County. Services to be provided as a result of this RFP are authorized in California Health and Safety (H&S) Code Sections 104375 (h)-(p), 104380, 104400 - 104415, and 104440. 

The California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) Request for Proposal (RFP), 14-10313 CALIFORNIA TOBACCO RETAIL ENVIRONMENT STUDIES, released on June 20, 2014 to select a single agency that will conduct the California Tobacco Retail Environment Studies (CTRES). The successful proposer will develop survey instruments, provide data collection training, and educate local agencies in data analysis. The CTRES is the new title for the continuation of the CTCP Retail Campaign that includes the California Tobacco Retail Surveillance Survey (CTRSS, formerly CTAS), a small sample survey (600) which targets retail store advertising; and the larger Healthy Stores for a Healthy Community (HSHC) survey (~7,500 stores), initiated in FY 2013/14 that targets retail stores and includes additional data on nutrition and alcohol. CTCP will conduct an Informational Webinar from 10 am until Noon on June 27, 2014. A Mandatory Letter of Intent is required by 5 pm July 11, 2014. The California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) is releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP 14-10004) in order to identify the Public Relations (PR) agency to conduct the statewide CTCP PR campaign. A single contract will be awarded to the PR agency that demonstrates the highest capacity to create and implement a continuously innovative campaign to raise awareness among California’s diverse populations about the dangers of tobacco and secondhand smoke.
