Office of Women's Health

The Office of Women's Health (OWH) provides policy guidance and conducts research specific to women's health in California.  As a result of the reorganization of the California Department of Health Services July 1, 2007 into the Department of Health Care Services and the California Department of Public Health, OWH remains a single policy office which is shared by both departments and is located in the Director's Office of both departments. This unique relationship between departments allows the office to integrate health policy for both departments to improve the health of women in California. OWH is an advisor to the Directors and programs throughout the two departments on issues related to women's health.
